The Minnesota Timberwolves are adjusting to the return of Kevin Love and awaiting the return of Ricky Rubio before they can display their true form. Meanwhile they are 7-8 and just below halfway down the NBA power rankings from around the Web.
In Seth Rosenthal's power rankings at SB Nation, the Timberwolves come in at No. 18. Rosenthal expects Minnesota to rise higher in the rankings as Love gets back into form and Rubio returns to the court.
Marc Stein of ESPN, has the Timberwolves at No. 19, but also thinks they are poised to rise up the rankings in the future. In John Schuhmann's power rankings at NBA.com, Minnesota is ranked No. 20. Sam Amico of Fox Sports has the Timberwolves at No. 17 and Kurt Helin of Pro Basketball Talk has them at No. 19.
Overall that gives the Timberwolves an average power ranking of 18.6. Minnesota next takes on the 76ers on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. CT.
