NBA scores: Timberwolves win Tuesday, fall on Wednesday

The Minnesota Timberwolves won on Tuesday, but couldn't make it two-straight for the week on Wednesday.

The week got off to a strong start in the NBA on Monday, with a matchup between the Portland Trail Blazers and Charlotte Bobcats going into overtime that eventually ended in favor of the former by a score of 118-112. The Minnesota Timberwolves didn't get into action until Tuesday, but they played back-to-back games through Wednesday, as well.

Minnesota downed the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, beating them 105-88, with Alexey Shved putting up 105 points. On that same day, the Indiana Pacers also downed the Chicago Bulls, while the Oklahoma City Thunder bested the Brooklyn Nets. The Los Angeles Lakers also fell to 8-10 on the season with a loss at the hands of the Houston Rockets, while the Miami Heat unexpextedly fell to the Washington Wizards.

On Wednesday, the Wolves fell to the Boston Celtics, 104-94. Kevin Love had 19 points and 13 rebounds, but the Celtics turned in a more complete effort for the win. Eleven games were played on Wednesday, and some other highlights included the San Antonio Spurs downing the Milwaukee Bucks and the Log Angeles Clippers dominating the Dallas Mavericks.
