2012 NBA standings: Timberwolves 4th in Northwest Division

The Minnesota Timberwolves are No. 4 in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference, ahead of only the Portland Trailblazers, through 17 games.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are 8-9 on the season, but have been playing well with Kevin Love back in the lineup. He's not back to form after dealing with his injuries, but he's a welcome addition for a team that counts on him for pretty much everything.

They lost their last outing, and find themselves near the bottom of the Northwest division in the Western Conference. The Oklahoma City Thunder lead the division, with a stellar 15-4 record and a six-game winning streak, while the Utah Jazz are sitting at 10-10 in second place. The Denver Nuggets hold third place, with a 9-10 record.

Minnesota has lost both of their division games played thus far. The Portland Trail Blazers are in the basement in the division, with an 8-11 record, but the division is still plenty wide open. The Thunder are playing well, but the Timberwolves can catch them if Love continues to get back into the groove of things.
