Eager to bounce back from a 10-point road loss to Boston on Wednesday, the Minnesota Timberwolves will return home to the Target Center on Friday night to host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Following a strong 5-2 start to the year while playing without star forward Kevin Love, the Timberwolves have dropped seven of their last 10 games to tumble down the standings in the Northwest Division. Despite only winning three of eight games with Love back on the floor following a wrist injury, Minnesota has been forced to play seven of its last eight contests away from the Target Center.
Already with 15 losses on their resume, the Cavaliers have yet to win a game in the month of December after going 4-12 in the first month of the year. Cleveland continues to pick up inspired performances from big man Anderson Varejao, who leads the NBA in rebounding, but has still yet to earn wins over back-to-back games this season.
