The Minnesota Timberwolves are currently on a four-game losing streak, their longest of the season, making Wednesday night's game pretty important. The odds are in their favor, however, as they host the Charlotte Bobcats in a home game at the Target Center.
The Bobcats are just 3-25 on the season, having lost 15 straight games heading into their meeting with the Timberwolves. To put that into perspective, they're just 1-14 on the road and haven't picked up a victory in over a month.
This isn't to say the Wolves should take Michael Jordan's team lightly, however, as they haven't been lighting up themselves over the past week. Most recently, they lost a winnable game at home to Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks -- can they really be blamed for that? -- and then were undone by turnovers against the Orlando Magic their last game.
It would seem that as long as Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio are on their A-games and the rest of the team can knock down the shots that they should, the Wolves should be able to best Kemba Walker, Bismack Biyombo and the rest of the Bobcats. Should is the key word, though ... and not a sure thing.
