Timberwolves Vs. Rockets: Minnesota Goes For Season Series Against Houston

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a chance to take the season series from the Houston Rockets as they play on Friday night.

The Houston Rockets have traditionally been very, very good against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Prior to this season, they had won 14 of the last 15 games and with Minnesota fielding a weak squad this year it didn't look to change, but the Wolves have managed to take two of three from Houston so far this season thanks to the heroics of Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio.

The Wolves were above .500 at one point earlier in the season, but a slide had left them at 13-16; however a win over the awful Charlotte Bobcats gave them a boost. As usual, it was Kevin Love who dominated, as the MVP candidate put up a whopping 30 points.

Houston has been fabulous at home with an 11-3 record thus far in the season leading to a 17-13 record overall. Minnesota still is playing for a possible playoff spot, meaning there is plenty to play for other than just taking the season series from the Rockets.

The game will be at Toyota Center at 7:30 PM ET.
