The Minnesota Timberwolves haven't been to the NBA's postseason since the days of that 2003-04 tea that featured Mark Madsen, Ndudi Ebi, Fred Hoiberg and Oliver Miller. It's been nearly as long since the Wolves have had a .500 or better record heading into the NBA's All-Star weekend, too, but that didn't make it sound any less weird when Rick Adelman dropped the 'P' word in an interview this week.
Yes, the Timberwolves head coach said Playoffs -- and he wasn't shy about it, either, according to a story from the Pioneer Press's Tom Powers.
Rick, you guys talk about the playoffs?
"We talk about it all the time," he said matter of factly. "If you're right there, you should look at it. We talk about staying in the hunt. We've put ourselves in position to be in the hunt. Let's take advantage of it."
That just happened, Timberwolves fans, and it is Pektacular.
