Derrick Williams kept the Minnesota Timberwolves from sweeping the events they were involved in during NBA All-Star weekend, but the rookie's entry into the 2012 NBA Dunk Contest wasn't all for naught. In fact, when watching highlight videos of Williams' dunks in slow motion, it brings hope for him in future dunk competitions.
With Crunch, Ricky Rubio and motorcycles all involved during Saturday night's attempt to make the highlight reels, who knows what's next for Williams? It wasn't enough to beat Jeremy Evans, Chase Budinger or Paul George this year, but what about next season?
And now, a couple of questions: What if Williams was unable to clear that motorcycle? Why was Kevin Love the only one to stand up for the 360 dunk off the backboard? Did they really need to include the final dunk and Derrick's depressed face in the highlight video? Why not just show the part where he rides into the arena with the Wolves mascot on a motorcycle to keep things exciting as the video ends?
