Beasley tied for a team-high as he scored 14 points in Wednesday night's loss to the Lakers, but he's obviously still on the trading block as he continues to pop up in these types of conversations. The latest deal would net the Wolves a veteran center, according to Fox Sports' Sam Amico.
And the scuttlebutt before Tuesday's game was that the Celtics might be looking to make a deal that involves sending veteran center Jermaine O'Neal to Minnesota and landing young forward Michael Beasley in return.
Either general manager David Kahn has asked for a veteran center or teams think that's what the Wolves are interested in as the Wolves have also been linked quite a bit to Lakers center Pau Gasol. O'Neal is a step down from Gasol, however, as he's become severely injury-prone (which is understandable considering he's in his 15th NBA season at a rather young age of 33, but still).
There aren't many NBA trade rumors that have come out that really make sense for the Wolves, but if the losses start to pile up, it's obvious there are plenty of trade partners ready to make a deal.
