Kevin Love Scores 23, But Timberwolves Lose To Suns On The Road

The Minnesota Timberwolves probably shouldn't have been expected to come out on top if their three games in three nights roadtrip, but Tuesday's victory over the Los Angeles Clippers probably led to some false hope. That hope wasn't realized, however, as the Wolves dropped the final game of the three-day stretch to the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night.

Kevin Love returned from his illness, not injury, to score 23 points and grab 10 rebounds to lead Minnesota in both categories. It wasn't enough, however, as the bench was able to contribute just 18 points on 6-of-21 shooting as the Wolves dropped a 104-95 decision.

The Suns were led by Grant Hill in a blast from the past as the veteran scored 20 points while Steve Nash dished 17 assists and scored 13 points in his first NBA battle with Ricky Rubio.

The Wolves are now off until Saturday, when they continue their road trip with a game against the Portland Trail Blazers before returning to the Target Center on Monday for a rematch with the Clippers.
