Timberwolves Vs. Jazz Final Score: Minnesota Falls Back To .500 With Overtime Loss In Utah

Every time the Minnesota Timberwolves get above .500, they can't seem to build on it. Although they battled back to force overtime on Thursday night, the Timberwolves dropped back to the .500 mark due to a 111-105 loss to the Utah Jazz.

Utah was on top for the majority of the game after taking the lead midway through the first quarter. After increasing their lead to 12 late in the fourth quarter, the game appeared all but over. However, Minnesota responded with a 17-6 run in the last three minutes and a Luke Ridnour bucket with 11 seconds left pulled the Timberwolves within one. After a Gordon Hayward free throw, Nikola Pekovic made a layup with less than a second remaining to force overtime.

Unfortunately, Utah controlled overtime like they did much of regulation, outscoring the Timberwolves 12-6.

Minnesota will look to get back above .500 when they take the court again tomorrow against the Los Angeles Lakers.
