Timberwolves Vs. Lakers Final Score: Minnesota Drops Another One On The Road, 97-92

The Los Angeles Lakers held off a late run to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, 97-92 behind 28 points from Kobe Bryant at the Staples Center.

The Lakers took a 13-point lead into the fourth quarter by Minnesota rallied midway through the final quarter, drawing within six points after a pair of baskets by Kevin Love. Bryant responded with four straight points to push the Laker lead back to double digits.

The Timberwolves couldn't get closer than six until time ran out on them with Martell Webster hitting a three-pointer at the end of regulation. Bryant's 28 led the Lakers with Pau Gasol adding 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Love led the Wolves attack with 27 points and 15 rebounds while Luke Ridnour added 12 points and 11 assists. Minnesota has now lost four of their last five games as they remain on the road for four more games. The loss also dropped Minnesota a game below .500 at 22-23 and a half game behind the Suns in the Western Conference standings. Minnesota is now 10th in the West, two and a half games behind Denver for the final playoff spot.
