Timberwolves Schedule 2012: Minnesota Faces Tough Four Game Week

The Minnesota Timberwolves have three tough road games this week followed by a home game against the Denver Nuggets.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are slowly fading away after a good start to the season thanks to an injury to Ricky Rubio. At 22-24, the season is starting to look lost along with the chance for a playoff berth. The Wolves need to get wins on the road this week if they want to push themselves back over .500, but with a lot of tough teams on the docket, it may be a tall order.

Monday brings the Wolves to Golden State to meet the Warriors, who are fresh off one of the biggest trades in the recent franchise history. Monta Ellis is no longer a Warrior and so Golden State might have a bit less bite to its offense than usual, but the Wolves will still need to keep on their toes.

It will be a bit harder of a test on Wednesday when the Wolves head over to meet the San Antonio Spurs in Texas. They've lost a few times in recent games but their 29-14 record doesn't lie and their talent is still immense after all those years.

Friday will bring the Wolves to Oklahoma City for yet another tough game against the Thunder, but they will finally get a home game come Sunday when they play the surging Denver Nuggets.
