Timberwolves Vs. Spurs: Minnesota Goes For Three Straight Wins Over San Antonio

The Minnesota Timberwolves will go for their third straight win over the San Antonio Spurs in Texas on Wednesday night, but will face a tall order in doing so.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have beat the San Antonio Spurs in two straight matches, but it's going to be a tall order for the Wolves to make it three straight against the streaking Spurs on Wednesday.

Kevin Love comes into the game with a league leading 39 double doubles, including two in the last two games against San Antonio. Back on January 2, the Wolves won 106-96 and injured Manu Ginobli, winning again 87-79 on January 27. Both of those games featured strong showings by Love and Ricky Rubio. This time though, Manu is back on the Spurs roster and the Wolves have lost Rubio to that season ending ACL tear.

The Spurs have won their last 14 meetings at home against Minnesota. The Wolves are a bit desperate for wins to claw their way up into a playoff position now so they'll need to buck those sorts of trends against in form teams like the Spurs.

The game will be at AT&T Center at 8:00 p.m. ET.
