The Minnesota Timberwolves just can't catch a break. It's not that there's a slew of bad things happening all at once, it's just that they're in the middle of a very tough road trip - seven games over 13 days - and with two games to go, it's not getting any easier. Those games are against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.
They're tough outings no matter what, but things aren't about to get any easier. J. Michael Falgoust is reporting via Twitter that Nikola Pekovic will miss some time:
RT @Twolves_PR: #Twolves will be w/out Nikola Pekovic against SA & OKC. He has flown back to Twin Cities for rehab on his sore left ankle.

Pekovic played just 11 minutes in Monday's game against the Golden State Warriors, starting the first and third quarters, but went back to the locker room after only a couple minutes in the second half. He initially thought he'd play against San Antonio, making the trip with the rest of the team, but has since flown back to rehab. It's likely Darko Milicic will get the start.
