The Minnesota Timberwolves have now lost six straight at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, losing to the Grizzlies again on Tuesday night by a score of 93-86. The Timberwolves have lost eight of their last 11 games.
After a poor first half, the Timberwolves got a quick start in the third quarter and actually took a 67-62 lead into the final two-plus minutes of the quarter. However, the Grizzlies finished the frame on a 6-0 run and never relinquished the lead thereafter.
Kevin Love led all scorers with 28 points on 10-for-22 shooting and also grabbed 11 rebounds. Wayne Ellington added 15 off the bench. All five Grizzlies starters were in double figures, led by Rudy Gay's 21 points.
The Timberwolves play in Charlotte on Wednesday.
