The Minnesota Timberwolves had no answers for Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum, who powered the Los Angeles Lakers to a 105-102 win on Friday night.
Kobe scored 34 points, and Bynum had 26 points and 10 rebounds to help the Lakers out of a slump.
Derrick Williams and Nikola Pekovic each had a double-double for the Timberwolves. Williams had 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Pekovic had 25 points and 13 boards in the loss.
Especially heartbreaking for the Timberwolves is that they had a chance to win the game with 16 second left on the clock. Pau Gasol, the subject of many NBA trade rumors lately, blocked Williams' drive to the basket. Williams and the home crowd thought there should have been a call, but one never came.
