The Minnesota Timberwolves will likely be without Kevin Love when they host the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
Love spent Wednesday night at a hospital after suffering a concussion in the first quarter of a loss to the Denver Nuggets.
Love is the NBA's leading scorer since the All-Star game, so his absence will make this one tricky.
And that's to say nothing of the Clippers, who can't afford any losses as they battle the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 4 spot in the Western Conference. The Clips, 35-23, are currently a half-game ahead of the 34-23 Grizzlies.
The Wolves have lost seven straight and 14 of 18 since Ricky Rubio was injured on March 9. J.J. Barea is a serviceable replacement -- he had a career-high 15 assists against Denver -- but Love's injury figures to make matters worse.
Thursday's game starts at 7 CT and will air on Fox Sports North.
