The 2011-12 NBA season is winding down and the Minnesota Timberwolves have already been eliminated from playoff consideration. Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio are both done for the season due to injury, so the final game of the 2011-12 campaign has very little meaning.
Minensota enjoys three days off before finishing the year at home against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night. The Nuggets are still battling for playoff position, as they can finish as high as fourth in the Western Conference and earn home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
Minnesota has lost 12 of its last 13 going into the final game of the season, so the game against Denver can only serve to build a small amount of momentum going into the offseason.
