NBA Draft Rumors 2012: Royce White Cancels Remaining Workouts

Minneapolis native Royce White should be able to relax a little bit through the rest of the draft process. According to ESPN's Chad Ford, he's canceled the rest of his workouts and could have a promise from a team late in the first round:

White was scheduled to work out with the Hawks on Friday but canceled. Later Thursday, two different sources said that the Celtics had told White they'd take him with their 21st pick.

Ford goes on to say that other sources have denied the Celtics made any promises, and mentioned the Atlanta Hawks as a potential place where he could land.

Boston would be a good fit for White. If they retain Kevin Garnett and make another run at the title, he could get solid minutes off the bench and the opportunity to learn under a few Hall of Fame players. If they blow up the team, he'd obviously be a core part of any rebuild.
