The Minnesota Timberwolves have certainly been busy recently, pulling off a big trade that snagged them Chase Budinger from the Houston Rockets. Turns out that they've been building up some other projects behind the scenes as well.
Their PR department on twitter (appropriately named @Twolves_PR) tweeted on Wednesday that the Wolves have created the NBA's first ever social media hub specifically for Timberwolves fans, called Wolves Nation.
According to the PR twitter, the site allows Wolves fans to hook up with it via Facebook or Twitter -- you can also create your own account for the site itself -- and there are prizes to be won 'simply by being a fan'. Everyone likes prizes!

It's certainly a neat idea from the Wolves, tapping into the social media craze that has hit the internet in the past few years. It will be interesting to see where they go from here with the idea and if other teams take the concept and run with it.
