Minnesota Timberwolves To Play Detroit Pistons In First-Ever NBA Canada Series

On Tuesday afternoon, the Minnesota Timberwolves announced via the organization's official public relations twitter account that the club will be participating in the first-ever NBA Canada Series when they travel to Winnipeg to challenge the Detroit Pistons.

The game will take place at 6 p.m., CT on Oct. 24 at the MTS Centre, which is the home of the NHL's Winnipeg Jets.

In addition to the game in Winnipeg, there will also be an NBA preseason game being played in Montreal, which marks the first time games are being held in Canada as part of the NBA's preseason schedule.

The Timberwolves also announced that they will play the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 13 and the Israeli basketball club Maccabi Bazan Haifa on Oct. 24. Both games will take place at Target Center.
