The Minnesota Timberwolves declined to make a qualifying offer on small forward Michael Beasley, making him an unrestricted free agent. Beasley was drafted by the Miami Heat in 2008 and was traded to Minnesota in the summer of 2010. Despite some known character issues, he's only 23 years old, immensely talented and oozing with potential.

That said, there are a number of teams that will be vying for his services this summer and the Phoenix Suns are one of them according to the Arizona Republic:

The Suns are prepared to use the available space elsewhere with President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby, General Manager Lance Blanks and Coach Alvin Gentry meeting unrestricted free agent Michael Beasley Sunday in Los Angeles.

Beasley has career averages of 15.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
