The Minnesota Timberwolves made quite a few roster moves in the offseason, as they continue to add pieces around Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio. The first chance for the fans to see those moves in action will be in October when the NBA's 2012 preseason schedule kicks off.
The Wolves announced a seven-game exhibition schedule on Thursday, beginning on Oct. 10 with a "home" game against the Indiana Pacers. Though it's being hosted by Minnesota, the game is actually scheduled to be played in lovely Fargo, N.D., as the Wolves attempt to expand their fan base westward.
The first chance to see the Wolves play in Minnesota will be Oct. 13 when they host the Chicago Bulls at the Target Center. Three days later, on Oct. 16, they'll bring in Israeli team Maccabi Haifa before wrapping up their "home" schedule in Winnipeg, Manitoba, against the Detroit Pistons on Oct. 24.
A look at the full schedule is available on the Timberwolves' web site.
