Minnesota Timberwolves Reportedly Looking At Sean Williams

The Minnesota Timberwolves are in the market for a big man, and though they still have yet to clear out enough cap space to make another signing, they're still talking to potential free agents. Darren Wolfson reports via Twitter that Sean Williams is on Minnesota's radar as an option.

As noted in the Tweet, the Timberwolves expressed interest in Hassan Whiteside, and also reportedly had interest in free agent Mehmet Okur. Williams is just now on the list of players as he wasn't released until the end of August. The Houston Rockets waved Williams due to his contract for the 2012-13 season becoming guaranteed. He was waived on Aug. 28, with his contract scheduled to become guaranteed on Aug. 30.

Williams has also received interest from the Miami Heat. He's been a star in the D-League, playing with the Texas Legends. Recently, he hasn't had much playing time in the NBA, appearing in eight games with the Dallas Mavericks a season ago and three games with the Boston Celtics.
