Two weeks away from training camp, Brandon Roy's knees are feeling great.
The former first-round pick retired prior to the 2011-12 season because of chronic knee problems. But in June, Roy announced he was making a comeback and signed with Minnesota.
Recent quotes from Roy to NBA.com are encouraging for T-Wolves fans.
"This is the best I've felt in a long time," Roy said Thursday. "The reason why I say that is I'm able to improve. I'm able to come in the gym and work on my game and get better. Where I felt that the last couple years in Portland I was just doing my best to maintain. … I'm working hard and coach has to tell me to stop playing instead of me saying, `OK that's enough. I'm feeling my knees."
Roy has averaged 13.7 points over five seasons with the Trail Blazers.
