Wednesday night was not kind to the Minnesota Timberwolves, who were blown out by the Utah Jazz, 106-84, in Salt Lake City. The Timberwolves shot a miserable 2-17 from three point range, and Alexey Shved and Kevin Love led the team in scoring with only 13 points. Gordon Hayward came off the bench to lead the Jazz with 17 points, and Enes Kanter had 15 points and eight rebounds.
Elsewhere in the Northwest Division, the Oklahoma City Thunder fell victims to the biggest upset of the night, as they fell 110-93 to the Brooklyn Nets at home. The Portland Trail Blazers were smacked in Toronto by the Raptors, 102-79, and the Denver Nuggets had the night off. Even with the loss, the Thunder are still seven games ahead of the Nuggets in the standings.
The Timberwolves play the second half of their back-to-back on Thursday night, when they head to Denver to take on the Nuggets.
