Twins Draw First Blood Again, Lead 1-0 In Top Of The Third

Once again, the Twins have gotten on the board first in their battle with the New York Yankees.

Delmon Young and Jim Thome led off the frame with back-to-back singles. After a groundout by Michael Cuddyer, Jason Kubel drew a walk from Andy Pettitte to load the bases. Danny Valencia stepped to the plate and came through again, lifting a fly ball to right deep enough to allow Young to score from third.

J.J. Hardy then lined out to second to end the inning.

As we move to the top of the third, the Twins lead the Yankees 1-0.
