Twins Hope For Significantly Better Results In Second Game With Dodgers

The Minnesota Twins got curbstomped on Monday night. There really isn't any other way to put it. They allowed twenty-five hits to the Dodgers, a franchise record, on their way to getting drubbed 15-0 in front of the home crowd at Target Field. It was the team's sixth loss in a row following their eight-game winning streak that now feels like it happened last year, not last week.

Tonight, the Twins and Dodgers will do battle again at Target Field, and the Twins will attempt to bounce back behind the left arm of Brian Duensing (4-7, 4.54 ERA). Duensing pitched well in his last start on Thursday, allowing just one run on six hits in 6.2 innings of work, but wound up on the short end of the decision as a result of Minnesota's 2-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants.

The Dodgers will counter with left-hander Ted Lilly (5-7, 4.63 ERA). Lilly got bombed in his last start, allowing six runs on six hits in just 4.2 innings pitched on Wednesday, as the Dodgers fell to the Detroit Tigers by a score of 7-5.

First pitch at Target Field this evening is set for 7:10 PM Central time. Be sure to check out Twinkie Town for their Game Thread for all the in-game action, and we will have your recap here for you when it's all said and done.
