MLB Standings Update: Streaky Twins Still Holding On To Hope

The Minnesota Twins followed up their eight-game winning streak with six consecutive losses, culminating with a 15-0 thumping by the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night. However, they've managed to follow that up with a couple of victories, and are still in significantly better shape as June comes to a close than they were when June began.

Here are the current American League Central standings:

AL Central Standings

W L PCT GB STRK
Cleveland 42 37 .531 0 Won 1
Detroit 43 38 .530 0 Lost 2
Chicago 39 42 .481 4 Won 1
Minnesota 34 45 .430 8 Won 2
Kansas City 33 48 .407 10 Lost 3

As we get closer to the MLB All-Star break, the Twins can still interject themselves into the American League Central race. Stranger things have happened, to be certain. Hopefully the Twins team we see the rest of the way. . .provided that they ever get all of their players back from the disabled list. . .will bear more of a resemblance to the team that won eight in a row than they will to the team that dropped six straight.
