The Minnesota Twins will have a player on the American League All-Star team this year. . .but only because every team gets one.
↵On this, the last day of fan voting for the 2011 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, there are no members of the Minnesota Twins anywhere close to winning the fan vote at any position on the field. According to the latest tallies from MLB.com, the only Twins player that even appears in the top five at any position (or, in the case of the outfielders, the top 15) is catcher Joe Mauer, who ranks third in the American League among catchers despite only playing 21 games this season and hitting a robust .213.
↵If you have not yet cast your ballot for the 2011 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, which will take place at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, you can vote until midnight Eastern time at the MLB.com website.
