Ricky Rubio Gives Twins Fans Something To Cheer About

The fans at Target Field on Tuesday night have not had much of anything to cheer about with the Minnesota Twins (5-12), losers of three straight, trailing the visiting Boston Red Sox 10-1 only halfway through the game. But the presence of the Minnesota Timberwolves' point guard Ricky Rubio has perked up whomever remains in the stands:

It's always good to see local sports stars supporting the other teams in the city. Rubio appears to get that. He didn't win over too many fans when he decided to stay in Spain last season, but he's quickly become a fan-favorite in his first year in Minnesota. It's a shame he tore his ACL and had to sit out most of the second half of this season because the Timberwolves were just becoming relevant with his strong play. He'll be back, though, likely giving the fans of Minnesota plenty (more) to cheer about for many years to come.
