Snoop Dogg Threw Out The First Pitch Of Thursday Night's Twins Game

The Minnesota Twins lost on Thursday night by a score of 11-8 to the Chicago White Sox. Even though Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer combined for three homers in the game, the Twins' pitching staff was once again abysmal.

Starter Cole DeVries only allowed three earned runs in his Major League Baseball debut, but Chicago tallied six total runs against DeVries thanks to two Twins errors. Brian Duensing ensured the latest Twins demise by allowing a grand slam in the sixth inning.

So the Twins lost their 28th game of the season and futher cemented their position in the cellar of the AL Central--no big whoop, right?

Wrong.

While the loss was unfortunately nothing special as far as it pertains to the Twins' 2012 season, the pregame festivities were truly unique. For reasons that aren't completely understood, the one and only Snoop Dogg was in attendance in Chicago on Thursday night. The California native has always been a huge supporter of the Los Angeles Lakers and other west coast teams, but for some reason the iconic rapper was tapped to throw the first pitch for the White Sox before a ho-hum divisional game in May.

And just like his classic 1993 album "Doggystyle", Snoop didn't disappoint the Chicago crowd with his first pitch. Not only did he throw a strike from the mound, he threw in the now-played-out meme of Tebowing afterward. Deadspin has the full video of the truly bizarre event that took place at U.S. Cellular Field on Thursday night.

Twins marketing staff, the ball is now in your court for this weekend's upcoming series against the Detroit Tigers. Ain't nothin' but a gangsta party, y'all.
