The Minnesota Twins lost their last series against the Chicago White Sox and find themselves in last place in both the AL Central and baseball with a miserable 15-29 record. Fortunately, the Detroit Tigers are on a low as well coming into Target Field for a three game series. Detroit are 3-7 in their last 10 games and are free falling in the division after a sweep at the hands of the Cleveland Indians.

The pitchers for the Twins will be happy to see the Tigers offense slumping so much -- they managed only six runs in their three losses to Cleveland. Anthony Swarzak will pitch for the Twins in game one of the series trying to get his first win of the season. He currently holds an 0-3 record and a 4.73 ERA. He will face rookie Drew Smyly for the Tigers, one of their stronger performers on the mound with a 2.89 ERA this year.

Minnesota swept the Tigers in their last two game set last week.

The game will be at Target Field at 8:10 p.m. ET.
