The Minnesota Twins have not yet won a game or scored a run in the month of May after two chances, and have already been the victims of a no hitter. It's been a bit of a rough start to the month for the 6-18 Twins, but they are getting a much easier reprieve in their second series of the month as they stay on the road but head to the friendlier confines of SafeCo Field where they'll face the 11-16 Seattle Mariners for three games.

It's certainly not as tough a challenge as the LA Angels gave them; the Mariners have dropped four straight at home, six straight in general and even their usual go to guys like Ichiro Suzuki aren't hitting well right now as the offense has struggled. Of course, the Twins can relate to having problems getting their offense going with their big names like Joe Mauer putting up goose eggs far too often in recent weeks.

The match up on the mound in game one will see Carl Pavano (1-2, 4.91 ERA) for the Twins take on Jason Vargas (3-2, 3.37 ERA) for the Mariners, one of the better performers for Seattle in the still relatively young season.

The game will be at SafeCo Field at 10:10 p.m. ET.
