Twins Vs. Phillies Final Score: Minnesota Loses 6-1 To Philadelphia

The Minnesota Twins just didn't get enough run production to counter the offensive fire power displayed by the Philadelphia Phillies in the the third and final game of their series on Thursday night. The Phillies took the win 6-1.

This is the first series loss the Twins have experienced in the month of June.

Both teams were able to get on the board in the second inning, but a three-run shot by Jim Thome in the third inning gave the Phillies all the separation they needed from the Twins.

Joe Blanton was the winning pitcher for the Phillies, who improved his record to 6-6 with the victory. Twins pitcher Scott Diamond dropped to 5-2 in the losing effort.

The Milwaukee Brewers come to town Friday as Minnesota gets ready to rebound from the two consecutive loss this weekend's three-game series.
