The Minnesota Wild's big offseason acquisition had a chance to show off his baseball skills on Sunday as Zach Parise threw out the first pitch at the Twins game.

Parise, a Minnesota native, was also able to to head into the Twins clubhouse before the game and meet some of the athletes he'll share the city with.
With Parise on the ice, the Wild now have a face to put with their franchise, and as we've seen with Joe Mauer and the Twins, having a hometown player lead your team can be a great marketing tool. He should instantly become one of the most popular players on the team.
It also might not be Parise's last trip to Target Field. There have been rumors circulating that the ballpark might one day become home to the Winter Classic.
