A big trade between the Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox will be immediately followed by three games between the two teams. Over the weekend, the Twins sent Francisco Liriano over to the Sox for SS Eduardo Escobar and LHP Pedro Hernandez in one of the more high profile moves in the majors before the trade deadline.
Liriano will be facing the Twins on Tuesday, but first the Twins are going to need to get through Jose Quintana in the first game of the series.
Quintana (4-1, 2.58 ERA) has done well for the Sox this season as they've found themselves consistently near the top of the AL Central standings -- currently they're in first place with the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians close behind. Cole De Vries (2-2, 3.64 ERA) will take the mound for the Twins. The two pitchers faced off against each other less than a week ago.
The game will be at Target Field at 8:10 p.m. ET.
