Twins Vs. Tigers: First Pitch Scheduled For 9:30 Eastern After Rain Delay

The Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers will play some baseball on Wednesday night; it's just going to start a bit later than we expected. There was a 90-minute rain delay before they met on Tuesday night and, due to heavy rain at Comerica Park in Detroit, it has been an even longer delay on Wednesday.

Originally scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m. ET, the Twins will now look for their six straight win starting at 9:05 p.m. ET. Kudos to those in Detroit who stuck around staring at the tarp on the field, hoping they would get to see Justin Verlander pitch.

The Twins just have to hope Verlander is thrown off by the delay. He hasn't lost a game against Minnesota since 2010.
