Twins Vs. Tigers: Minnesota Blows Lead, Falls To Detroit, 7-3

The Minnesota Twins fell to the the Detroit Tigers in the final game of a four-game set on Thursday afternoon by the score of 7-3. Despite leading 3-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, the Twins couldn't hold onto the lead and allowed the Tigers to put up two runs in the fourth and fifth to close the gap.

Once the Tigers put up five runs in the bottom of the eighth, the game was all but over.

Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera acted as Twin killers, combining for five of the Tigers seven runs. Fielder and Delmon Young hit back-to-back home runs in the eighth, with Fielder's three-run home run acting as the game-winning hit.

Twins relief pitcher Alex Burnett was pegged with the loss, while Octavio Dotel earned the win.
