Twins Vs. White Sox: Strong Pitching Matchup Highlights Rubber Game

Francisco Liriano's return to Minnesota right after being traded provided the Chicago White Sox with a win in their second game against the Minnesota Twins. Minnesota will look to pounce right back in game three as the two teams both seek a win in the series -- though with the Sox barely scraping the top of the AL Central the victory would likely be a bit more important to them.

A solid pitching match-up between two of the best pitchers on the two teams will face off in the rubber match. Scott Diamond (9-4, 2.88 ERA) will take the mound for the Twins, facing off against Jake Peavy (8-7, 3.15 ERA) of the White Sox. Peavy won his last game against the Twins, while Diamond is coming off of a three hitter against the Cleveland Indians, so both pitchers are in top form heading into the game.

The game will be at Target Field at 1:10 p.m. ET.
