Twins Vs. Mariners: John Jaso's Sacrifice Fly Gives Mariners Walk-Off Win

Seattle Mariners pinch-hitter John Jaso hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning off of Casey Fien Saturday that scored Michael Saunders to give Seattle a 3-2 win. Twins reliever Tyler Robertson (1-1, 6.91 ERA), who gave up back-to-back singles to Saunders and Brendan Ryan, took the loss.

The Twins led twice in the game. They took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI-single by Justin Morneau that scored Jamey Carroll. Seattle tied it in the third when Dustin Ackley scored Saunders with a single.

Minnesota scored in the top of the seventh on an RBI-groundout by Joe Mauer that scored Pedro Florimón, but Seattle tied it in the bottom of the seventh on a home run by Justin Smoak.

Twins starter Scott Diamond gave up two runs in 6.2 innings. Tom Wilhelmsen (4-2, 2.45 ERA) picked up the win in relief for Seattle.
