Twins Vs. Athletics: Starting Lineups For Tuesday's Game

Seeking to build on Monday's 7-2 victory in the series opener, the Minnesota Twins will look to right-hander Cole De Vries in game two against the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday night.

The 27-year-old De Vries has walked away with losses in each of his last two starts for manager Ron Gardenhire, and has been forced to watch his 2012 earned-run average climb all the way to 5.04 from a respectable 3.81. Opposing De Vries on the mound for the Athletics on Tuesday will be right-hander Brett Anderson, a proven veteran who is making his first start of the season after having Tommy John surgery last year.

Anderson will try to stifle a Twins lineup that will feature plenty of speed at the top of the order with Ben Revere in the leadoff spot and Darin Mastroianni hitting No. 2. The two players have combined to succeed on 43 of their 52 stolen base attempts this season, and will continue to offer Gardenhire a serviceable 1-2 punch atop the lineup while Denard Span remains out.
