After being in last place for most of the season in the AL Central, the Minnesota Twins will suddenly have a great opportunity to leap into third place and perhaps even sneak themselves into the AL Central title conversation starting on Monday when they face the Cleveland Indians. Cleveland has lost nine straight games to plummet out of the race and put themselves only a couple of games ahead of the Twins.

The Twins are coming off of a series win over the Boston Red Sox, a confidence booster as they continue to push along in the season. Even being in Progressive Field for the series, Cleveland has had abysmal pitching no matter where they've played and the Twins offense will be smiling looking at the stats they've given up.

Zach McAllister (4-3, 3.42 ERA) will face off against Scott Diamond (9-5, 2.93 ERA), one of the best pitchers this season on Minnesota's roster, in the first game of the set on Monday.

The game will be at Progressive Field at 7:05 p.m. ET.
