New York Jets 12, Minnesota Vikings 7 - Favre Makes All Sorts Of History

The Vikings have put together their best offensive drive of the night, and they’ve managed to make a game of it again in New York.

A completion to Percy Harvin on the drive gave Favre the distinction of being the only quarterback in NFL history to throw for 70,000 yards. Then, he found Randy Moss on a 37-yard rainbow to rack up his 500th career touchdown pass, making him the only QB in the league to reach that distinction, too.

The extra point makes it 12-7, but now the Vikings’ defense already has their backs against the wall after the special teams gave up a huge kickoff return to the JetsBrad Smith.
