Did Argument With Patriots QB Coach Lead To Randy Moss Trade?

As we’ve noted throughout the day, the Minnesota Vikings have acquired future Hall Of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss in a trade with the New England Patriots.

Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com is reporting that Moss got into an arguments with Patriots quarterbacks coach Bill O’Brien just two days before he was traded for a third-round pick to the Vikings, where he will be united with Brett Favre.

Receiver Randy Moss and New England Patriots quarterbacks coach Bill O’Brien were involved in a heated exchange at halftime of the team’s victory Monday over the Miami Dolphins, according to player sources.

The locker-room exchange, described as an “outburst” by one player, came two days before the Patriots traded Moss to the Minnesota Vikings for a 2011 third-round draft choice, and could have contributed to the team’s decision to make the deal.
