Star CFL Receiver Fantuz To Try Out For Vikings

Andy Fantuz of the Saskatchewan Rough Riders, a CFL All-Star the led the league in receiving this season, will be trying out next week for the Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to the National Football Post.

This season, Fantuz caught 87 passes for 1,380 yards and six touchdowns. In his CFL career, he has caught 276 passes for 4,136 yards and 23 touchdowns. He tried out for the Detroit Lions in 2006, but was never signed by the team.

This could be an interesting signing for the Vikings, should it come to fruition. It may not amount to much this season, but he would be an interesting person to bring to camp for 2011, if nothing else.
