KSTP With Further Details on Possible Move

KSTP, Channel 5, has more details on the potential move on their website:

University of Minnesota officials say they started preparing TCF Bank Stadium Tuesday morning for the possibility of hosting the Minnesota Vikings last home game next Monday night against the Chicago Bears.

The U says it was contacted by team and league officials Tuesday and told to start preparing the field in the event the Metrodome roof can not be repaired in time for the game.

They say the team is committed to playing its last home game in Minnesota. The Vikings had also planned to hold their 50th anniversary celebration during that game.

The U of M plans to have two teams of 100 people work eight hour shifts to get the field ready. They have already reached out to several companies for assistance and plan to use temp agencies as well. They say the biggest challenge is snow removal with four to five foot drifts in some places.
