Vikings Turn It Over Again, Lions Capitalize To Cut Deficit To Four

The Vikings looked to have a good thing going, but it turned into another turnover and three more points for the Lions.

Lions’ defensive end Cliff Avril blew past Phil Loadholt. . .who has been getting his butt kicked all afternoon. . .and deflected Favre’s arm as he was throwing, resulting in a floating pass that ended up in the hands of Detroit cornerback Alphonso Smith. The Lions then took the ball down the field and, thanks to some bad clock management, had to settle for a 33-yard field goal by Jason Hanson.

Going into the locker room at halftime, the Vikings lead the Lions by a score of 14-10.
