Minnesota Vikings Linebacker E.J. Henderson Named To Pro Bowl

Just a year after suffering a gruesome leg injury that left his 2010 season in doubt, Minnesota Vikings' linebacker E.J. Henderson has capped an outstanding season with a trip to the Pro Bowl.

Henderson was named to the squad just a few hours ago as a replacement player, a justifiable end to a season that many people. . .including yours truly. . .thought wouldn't take place. In December of 2009 in a game against the Arizona Cardinals, Henderson broke his thighbone in a collision with teammate JaMarca Sanford, and needed to be carted off of the field. Eventually, he had a titanium rod inserted in his thigh, and many thought that Henderson would have to miss the entire 2010 season, if not have to give up football entirely.

Instead, Henderson returned to the field for 2010, and had an outstanding season, recording 139 tackles and tying for the team lead with three interceptions.

Congratulations to E.J. Henderson on a trip to Honolulu. . .no matter how late in the game that trip might be coming.
